The Abundant Life includes salvation with earthly benefits as well, such as finances, health, good emotions, authority, purpose, and the right identity.

So in God, we have not only the guardian, leadership love of a father, but also the protective, concerned love of a mother. Satan challenged not only a Father’s love, but a Mother’s love as well.

It was in Yellowknife that our first big financial break came. It was very difficult and expensive to develop lots there, as bedrock was at the surface – we walked on it all the time. So in 1976, the city developed only 6 lots. To give everyone a chance to be a purchaser, they had a draw for the right to purchase one. There were one hundred names in the hat. Cameron phoned me at work – mine had been the first name out. I was excited but not overly surprised. We knew that I was lucky.
The obvious problem was that I heard nothing in church and read nothing in the Bible about Luck. This doesn’t mean we will win all the time. But it does mean that we belong to God’s royal family and we have a King for a Father who works on our behalf. We are victors, not victims.

GETTING TO KNOW THE HOLY SPIRIT
The goal of this study is to give you knowledge that will unlock the experience of the Presence of God in your life. Who is the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus said He would ask the Father to send? Attendees will walk away with a personal experience.

Our souls (mind, will and emotions) determine how much of a relationship we will have with our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Our soul puts boundaries in place from fear, lack of knowledge about the HS, bad experiences with other Christians, or unwillingness to give up control of our lives.
The soul is like a cell membrane between body and spirit. It filters out the germs and allows the nutrients to pass in. However, just as our cells, get tricked sometimes, so does our soul. And it can shut out the Holy Spirit.
